Operator fatigue and distraction are among the most common contributing factors in forklift incidents, but they are also among the hardest to detect before something goes wrong. By the time a supervisor notices a problem, an incident may have already occurred.
Driver monitoring systems use in-cab sensors and cameras to track operator alertness, head position, eye movement, and driving behaviour throughout the shift. When the system detects signs of fatigue or distraction, it alerts the operator immediately and notifies supervisors so intervention can happen before a safety event.
