Not all shrink film performs equally on every product or every machine. Film that tears during sealing, shrinks unevenly around irregular shapes, or produces a cloudy or hazy finish wastes material, slows the line, and undermines the retail presentation of the product inside.
Polyolefin shrink film offers superior clarity, a higher gloss finish, and more consistent shrink performance across irregular shapes compared to PVC alternatives. It seals at lower temperatures, produces less odour during the heat tunnel process, and is approved for direct food contact thus making it the preferred choice for food retail, pharmaceutical, and premium consumer goods packaging.
RFA supplies POF shrink film in centrefold and single wound formats, across a range of gauges and reel sizes compatible with standard L-sealer and sleeve wrapper machines. Perforated variants are available for products requiring ventilation.
