Using the wrong stretch film specification is one of the most common causes of both excessive film consumption and poor load containment. Film that is too thin tears during application. Film that is under-stretched wastes material. Film matched to the right gauge and pre-stretch ratio delivers better containment at lower cost per pallet.
Stretch film works by applying tension around the pallet as it is applied, binding the load and stabilising it for storage and transit. The holding force comes from the elastic recovery of the film after stretching, which is why gauge, pre-stretch percentage, and wrap pattern all affect the final result.
RFA supplies stretch film in hand and machine grades, across a range of gauges from standard to heavy-duty, in core sizes compatible with both manual dispensers and stretch wrapping machines. Extended core and jumbo roll options are available for high-volume wrapping operations.
