Dunnage Bags
Dunnage Bags
Are goods shifting inside containers and trucks during transit, causing load collapse and product damage that strapping and blocking alone cannot prevent?
Loads secured with strapping can still shift when void spaces between pallets, cartons, and container walls allow lateral movement during transit. In container and truck shipments, this movement causes load collapse, product damage, and contamination that is discovered only at destination when the damage is already done.
Dunnage bags are inflated with air to fill the void spaces between and around loads, creating a pneumatic cushion that prevents lateral and longitudinal movement throughout the transit cycle. They are faster to deploy than timber blocking and bracing, leave no residue, and can be deflated and removed quickly at the destination.
RFA supplies dunnage bags in a range of sizes and pressure ratings suited to different void widths, load weights, and transport modes including sea container, truck, and rail. Kraft paper, woven polypropylene, and multi-layer constructions are available.
