Strapping applied directly to the corners of a palletised load concentrates pressure at the most vulnerable point of the packaging. Over the course of a transit journey, this causes corner crush, carton deformation, and in some cases product damage that is not visible until the load is unpacked at destination.
Edge board protectors distribute the pressure of strapping and handling forces along the full length of the corner, protecting the load edge from crush and deformation. They also reinforce the stack against lateral movement, improving overall load stability during handling and transit.
